Read the previous post: Online Stock Menu View.
Before you can buy shares, you must first have a securities account. If you do not understand, please read: How and Technical Opening a Stock Account. Before you can buy stocks online, you must make a deposit to your RDI. If you don't understand RDI, please open: Investor Fund Account and its Benefits.
If you want to buy shares online through software facilities, the steps are as follows.
Open the Trade menu, the Buy and Sell menus will appear.
If you want to buy shares, you have to click the buy menu in the stock software display. Guess the menu is like in the picture above. You can also use the keyboard keys if you want to buy and sell stocks. Buy = press F2. Sell = press F4.
BUY SHARE
If you buy shares, then the display is as follows (click image to enlarge).
If you want to buy shares, type the code for the shares you want. For example, you want to buy shares of PT Jasa Marga Tbk (JSMR), then type the JSMR code, as you can see above. After that, you just enter the Price (Price) and the number of lots you want (see the 2 red circle marks below). If you don't know the stock code on the Stock Exchange, you can look it up via the following link: Britama website stock code.
Note: 1 lot = 100 shares. Orders for buying and selling transactions are still subject to a fee. The size of the transaction fee depends on the policies of each securities company.
For example, if you want to buy JSMR shares at a price of 5,100 for 3 lots, then in the Price column you just type 5,100 and the lots column, type 3. After that, click the Buy button and your order will be directly processed by the system (Jakarta Automatic Trading System).
SELLING SHARE
If you sell the JSMR shares that you bought earlier, then you just need to click the sell menu or press the F4 button provided by each securities company software, and type JSMR.
You need to know, if you already own shares and then sell the shares, the stock software will display the number of lots you have. In the example above, I bought 3 lots of JSMR shares, so when I want to sell the shares again, it says Quantity in Hand: 3 Lots (see red circle). The steps to sell are the same as the steps when you buy shares.
Note: To enter buy and sell orders for shares, you must understand bids and offers. If you don't understand bids and offers, please click: Bid-Offer on the Stock Exchange.
** What I show above (buy-sell menu) is the display of the securities company software that I use for trading. Each trading software menu owned by each securities company, on average is the same, the only difference is the appearance (color, location and so on).
