Read the previous post: How to Buy Go Public (Tbk) Shares. In the previous post, I already told you, if you want to trade then you must have a stock account (securities account) first. In this post, I will explain the procedures and techniques for opening a stock account.
The first step of opening a stock account means you have to go to the securities office first. But if you don't know a good and ideal securities office, you can read my post: Tips for Choosing the Best Securities Company. And if you don't know the list of securities offices, including branch securities offices in your city, you can actually search through the website www.idx.co.id. The steps are as follows.
First: Go to the site www.idx.co.id.
Second: Look at the picture below. To find a securities office in your city, you can click on the left side menu (which I circled in red). Click Participant Exchange Member --> Exchange Member in your City.
Third, on your monitor, a list of securities offices will appear as follows. However, the list of securities offices is still comprehensive, that is, it displays a list of securities offices throughout the city. If you want to find a list of securities offices that are specific to your city, pay attention to the red circle below. In the box, you just type the city where you live.
Here is an example. I enter the city of Jakarta. And you see the display below. A list of securities offices that are located in Jakarta only appears. If you look at the picture below, there are probably only 15 lists of securities offices in Jakarta. However, there are actually more than 15. You can either make the next page at the bottom, or increase the page size to 50 for example.
Fourth, if you want to see information on the securities offices on the list, you just have to click on one of the securities offices. In the example here, I try to choose Daewoo Securities Indonesia (YP). Then you can see how it looks below.
In the image above, you can see the information listed. You can see the address of the location, the contact number of the securities office in question (which you are looking for), making it possible for you to find out information about registration for opening a securities account at the securities office. For example: what online trading facilities can I get, how much is the fee for buying and selling transactions? And other info2.
If you want to see the performance of the securities office in question, want to see who the board of directors is, you can also look at the "Profile" and "Financial Reports" menus (under Daewoo Securities Indonesia).
That's the way to find a securities office in your city, namely through the IDX site. The www.idx.co.id site actually has a lot of information, if you are a capital market person, you should start using the information provided by the IDX site.
So, if you ask a securities office whose minimum deposit is only Rp. 1,000,000, which security office? Which securities office has the lowest fee? What securities offices provide online form filling services (no need to come to the securities office)?
Frankly I don't know. For technical matters, please try googling or you ask yourself to the securities company in question. Or, you can try googling and find the official website of the securities office in question. Look for information through the official website of the securities office, or maybe you can come directly to the securities office in question. If you want to fill out a stock account opening form online, ask the securities office concerned, but if the securities office does not provide an online filling form, you can consider looking for another securities office...
Note: If you want to find the criteria for which securities company is the best, please read the post: Tips for Choosing a Securities Company.
Step three: If you have found a securities office that is suitable for you, then the next step is to fill out the form for opening a stock account. Filling out the form is required to become customer data. What data must be filled in? There's quite a lot to fill out. The data filled in are usually general in nature, such as: ID card data, asset data, occupation, parents' names, telephone numbers, bank accounts for depositing funds to stock accounts and many others. In general, every securities office requires you to fill in these data. The data that must be filled in are generally almost the same when you open an account at the Bank.
After you have finished filling out the registration form for customer data, you just have to wait for your stock account to be activated. And if you want to trade, you just have to make a deposit to your stock account. Don't forget, if your stock account has been activated, you will get an ACCESS card from the securities office.
At this point, you may have some questions, "What is an ACCESS card?" What is the use of the ACCESS card?" Then, how do I make a deposit?
