"Sir, how much initial capital is required for a transaction / stock investment?" This is a question that I often encounter, because in general there are many perceptions from many people who think that capital for investment or stock trading is very large, even requiring tens of millions of capital. That's not the case though. If I may say, with a capital of only IDR 150,000 - 200,000 (10$-20$), it can actually be used to harvest shares... Don't believe it? please see the illustration below:
The lowest share price in the capital market for the regular market (the market where people trade in general) is IDR 50 per share. However, do not buy shares that cost Rp. 50. The price of IDR 50 is usually stocks whose price drops due to poor performance, the DER is hundreds of times, so the risk of liquidation is very large. So, now I take the stock price range of 350 - 450 only. Many stocks that are in this price range are still liquid. Call it Pakuwon Jati (PWON).. I took the price range of Rp. 400 only. The calculation is like this
1. Buy shares at IDR 400 per share
2. You buy 3 lots
3. Purchase fee 0.17%
4. 1 lot = 100 pieces
The calculation: 3 x 100 x 400 = IDR 120,000
Plus purchase fee = 0.17% x 120,000 = 204
Total funds = 120,204.
So, you don't need big funds for investment or trading... Especially if you are a trader and have small capital, learn technical analysis, because to buy stocks that move rather quickly at a price of Rp. 500, the right moment is needed.
If you open an account at a securities office, there is indeed a minimum amount of funds that must be deposited. In the past, many securities offices required to deposit a minimum of IDR 5,000,000 even up to IDR 10,000,000. However, in its development, in particular there is a program from the Indonesia Stock Exchange with the theme of attracting 1 million investors in order to increase the participation of domestic investors, so many securities offices are competing to reduce the minimum deposit funds. Some are only Rp. 100,000, some are only Rp. 500,000.
If the funds for trading are only Rp. 200.00, it's useless, sir, how much profit is the most? True, with a very small capital, the return you receive will not be large, very small. So what can I do with that amount of money? Once again I emphasize, it is better for you to use small funds for stock trading, not investment, of course. If you invest with funds of only Rp. 200,000, you will bear it once. With such funds, it is better to continue playing, namely by trading stocks.
It's good with such a small fund, you use it for learning, while getting a little money. What learning? Learning to observe market conditions, technical analysis and predict market movements. Of course, the most important thing is that you must have knowledge if you want to enter the capital market. What strategy is suitable for you if you put in a minimum fund (Rp 200,000). The right strategy is actually a day trader, ie a trader who often monitors the market, stock price movements and who often buys and sells shares in a very short period of time, even daily. But do it as often as possible.
Because, with this amount of capital, it is certainly not suitable for you to invest in the long term. Funds are better spun to make a profit. And once again, to study market conditions. To study market conditions, of course you have to monitor a lot of market movements.
